SERVICES
Chalfont Guidance Center offers complete psychiatric treatment, performed by a doctorally prepared psychiatric nurse practitioner. Our practice is mainly focused on children and teenagers. We do see a limited number of adult patients.

We work with patients and their families to address symptoms of depression, anxiety, behavior concerns, inattention, poor focus, and challenging home and school behaviors. We primarily offer our services in our comfortable, and convenient office setting; and we do offer limited remote sessions via telehealth.
Initial Psychiatric Evaluation
60 minutes
An initial psychiatric evaluation is required for all new patients. During this session, you will discuss current concerns, previous treatment, medical histories, and provide any additional information that may be helpful for treatment (school evaluations, IEPs, etc.). At the conclusion of the evaluation a working diagnosis will be established and an initial treatment plan will be agreed upon. If medication is recommended, uses of the medicine, side effects, and any warnings will be discussed in detail.
Medication Management Follow Up
30 minutes
These appointments, for established patients, are typical follow up appointments to discuss how treatment is progressing. Patients are encouraged to bring all treatment progress information, medication concerns, and/or any general questions to these appointments. Follow up appointments typically occur monthly.
Specialized Evaluations and Testing

Second Opinion: Some patients and families may already have a care provider and are seeking a second opinion or further diagnostic clarity. Please note these evaluations are private pay due to the required documentation and history review; and the time requirements for final evaluation documentation.

COMING APRIL 2026
Autism Evaluations: Utilizing ADOS-2 assessment, this evaluation provides a formal diagnosis of autism if criteria is met. These sessions are typically broken up into 3 separate sessions with the patient and the family participating.
The fee for this evaluation is $650. A $200 non refundable deposit is required at time of scheduling. Due to the intensive nature of this testing, there are limited appointments available.
